Congrats to Ray Quinn on his superb performances on Dancing On Ice . Donal was good, and certainly the most improved skater over the 11 weeks , but Ray has natural talent on the ice and was great to watch week in, week out. Firstly if the producers wanted to replace the Kings up in Home Farm with another rich family, surely they could have chosen actors & actresses who arent so damn posh They dont fit with the British viewers. The viewers would have prefered a down to earth Yorkshire type actor, like Norman Bowler ie; Frank Tate. Now Ive no arguments with Amanda Donahoe, but Maxwell Caulfield, well, he was useless as Miles Colby in Dynasty, but putting on a fake upper class english accent just doesnt work. How dumb is this female? You go to see Jackson's show to see the performance, to see the legend that is Micheal Jackson, not stay away because of the uneccessary hype that surrounded his not guilty court case. Some people need to get a life and smell the roses. ________________________________ March 1st 2009 Just finished watching Dancing On Ice tonight and thought the skaters were great. My problem is with the Juge Ruthie Henshall. Its painfuly obvious she has a favourite in Zoe , but to give her a 6...?. No way was it better than some of the others. Personally I dont care who wins as it's a pastime for the privaliged sons of wealthy parents. _______________________________ Sunday 29th March On England's display at Wembley last night. Good performance by most of the team. David Beckham would be always first name on my England team sheet, he is awesome and gives 100% all the time. DEFINATELY think Heskey is a waste of time.Always has been in my opinion. _______________________________ Sunday 29th March Well , congrats to Jensen Button on the F1 win in Australia , congrats to England on their 4-0 win last night against the Czec Replublic , congrats to Northern Ireland on their win , Republic of Ireland on their draw, and congrats to little Scotland on keeping their loss to the Dutch to a respectable 0-3 defeat *smirk* Finally England's over paid spoilt cricketers, the performance against the West Indies in yesterday's one-day'er was nothing short of scandalous. Personally I think the 'central contracts' should be removed immediately therefore taking away the safety net of payment to the players. Let the results dictate on the pay.Too many England cricketers just going through the motions and getting paid good money for doing so. _______________________________ Sunday 29th March Nice to watch first race of the F1 season on BBc1 without the dreaded commercial breaks that blighted ITV's coverage. Also good to see Martin Brundle making the transfer across the channels too. I like his commentary , but for me the jury is out o the main presenter , and also Brundle's co-commentator. Well, Lewis Hamilton was correct , McLaren ARE struggling. Jenson Button is on pole for the Braun team , with Barricello , his teamate alongside him. Hamilton starts 15th! Well, 1st day of official practise and Lewis Hamilton says he will struggle to finish in the top 8. The new diffuser, which caused so much controversy a couple of days ago is working well, with the cars on Nike Rossberg and Jenson Button in the top 3 after 1st official day of practise. Massa reveled this morning that he is relieved that the new scoring system has been scrapped for 2009. Personally I think most drivers on the grid will be relieved as they wont have to make as many passing manouvers as they would have had to do under the new scoring system. ________________________________ Sunday 22nd March Once again Andy Murray gets beaten. Now don't get me wrong, he IS a damn good tennis player. he's beaten Feddera on many times EXCEPT when it counts. Nadal and Feddera HAVE to play in the smaller events to satisfy the quota of tournaments their sponsors demand. Its in these smaller events that Murray prospers as the main players in the top 10 basically go through the motions. Has Murray ever beaten Nadal or Federra consitently in the majors? Its in the majors the top 2 really try hard. Until Murray can regularly beat either of the top two when it REALLY counts he will always finish a loser. I hope he does it though because I think he is a great tennis player with the right attitude. Almost American-esque is determination. ________________________________ Saturday 21st March Great day for the English in the 6 nation rugby union. England beat the Jocks easily, whilst the Irish beat the Welsh to take the 6 nations title. Once again Scotland lost in sport. The two words Scotland & sport do really NOT belong in the same sentence *smirk* Saturday 21st March Welll...good day for Liverpool as both Man.Unt & Chelsea lost , to Fulham & Tottenham respectively. Memo to the 2 Scottish 'teams' : Don't you wish your 2 teams could compete in the English premiership in order for you to improve the standard of your game enough for you to be able to compete equally in the Champions League?. Until that happens the quality of your football will always be an embarrasment. Alas not good news from the cricket in the West Indies as we could only draw with the home nation, but what a great final test, leaving the Indies series winners. At least Kevin Peterson can be home soon to phone vote for his wifey to be kept in Dancing On Ice ! ________________________________ Sunday 8th March 2009 FA Cup quarter finals yesterday, and I have to say Man United are absolutely superb. 2 goal in the first half , follwed by another 2 in the second half destroyed Fulham. I for one wish them all the best for their quest for all the trophies the are trying for this season. They are the team, without question that are the most exciting to watch. ________________________________ Sunday 8th March 2009 Yet another defeat for Britain in the Davis Cup. Someone, somewhere, sometime will realise that British tennis will ALWAYS be third rate whilst they have the wrong people running it. You see them at the games, chinless, middle class nonentities who look like that once they have cheered their team to yet another loss then go home to make homemade jams. These people are not winners, they will NEVER rip their opponent throat out to win a point like, say the americans, or the aussies do. THATS the mentality that Brits just dont have but DO need in order to be a winner. They are happy to lose and have played 'well'. No good at all. NO SHIT SHERLOCK ! Of course there all at it, MP's have been fiddling their expenses from the year dot and have been getting away with it. Trouble is no-one cared of gave a toss. Now this second home and expenses fiddle is in the spotlight, at last there may be something done about it. BUT the government in their wisdom are NOT doing anything about it until September. TOO LATE. By that time the culprits will have long ago covered their tracks and begun to lay low with expenses for a few more months.But they will come back afteeptember and the enquiry will be made low key, and mp's will get away with wasting taxpayers expenses for years to come. Nothing new here except that they have been getting away with claims on expenses for things not in any way shape form connected with their jobs. They claim for ludicrous stuff, and the latest one regarding the MP in question claiming for a second home that their PARENTS live in is just the tip of a very large iceberg. Yes, it needs sorting out. YES it needs doing, but what has Gordon ordered to be done ? A long overdue check into the expenses of the MP's BUT not until the end of the year????? What the heck is that about. That gives the offending MP's nearly 9 months to get their 'houses' in order and cover up any shady dealings. This review and investigation should be done TODAY and catch the cheats and throw them out. _______________________________ Sunday 22nd March This morning marks the sad passing of Jade Goody. My opinion is find these morons immediately, and either string them up, or inflict so much pain on them that they will NEVER , EVER do a moronic thing like that again. I would gladly volunteer to dole out the punishment. _______________________________ Sunday 15th March Been checking out Gordon Brown's smug expression since his visit to the states to to Obama. In the times I visit the states I realise that America regards the UK at the MOST in the same way they do the rest of the European countries.It came as quite a shock to me actually to realise that instead of the UK being the USA's best buddies we actually dont figure in their importance at all. Watching CNN or FOX news reports over there, and when the 'guage' reaction to something from 'Europe' capitals, London, or the UK never features. Obama couldnt really care any more or any less about the UK ( Like previous US presidents) than the French, Italian, Spanish or anyone else. Sooo Mr.Brown, come down off that high pedestal you seem to have placed yourself as it needs to be wide enough to fit equally 'important' heads of countires than yourself. _______________________________ Wednesday 11th March Just watched the BBC news report from Luton about the protests by some idiotic Muslims while the British troops were parading in Luton city center to commemorate their colleagues. Just what is wrong with the guy? He is married to one of the world's best looking women( who he cheated on ), he is playing football for one of the world's most richest clubs, and has been offered an extension to his current contract of £55K per WEEK , and now he goes and gets drunk while his wife is away on a charity trip and gets himself arrested. The guy is serious a moron. He moans that he isnt being paid enough, ermmm Ashley ? "You need to be able to play GOOD consistent football week on week before being called good ".He has no idea just how lucky he is. My feelings are that she is doing exactly the right thing. shows. She is WAY out of her depth here. Unfortunately the show is showing her
lack of intelligence in a huge way. Firstly she is shown as having very little
grasp of knowledge. She had to pronounce the word 'heroine' . As she was reading
direct from the autocue she pronounced it hero-ine ( the ine as in twine) lmao.
Also the Arsenal manager was Arsne Wenger ( she pronounced Wenger and not as it
is Venger) Gawd, surely even if shes not a sports fan she has been in media long
enough to know how to pronounce his name.
